Colts DE Robert Mathis scored the game’s only touchdown.
It wasn’t pretty, but the Colts still won.
Colts QB Peyton Manning had two interceptions and a goal-line fumble.
Asked if he could assess his performance, Manning said, “I’m sure I could, but I’d rather not. Our defense won the game for us.”
For the Colts, stopping Browns return man Josh Cribbs was a high priority.
Colts K Adam Vinatieri blamed his missed field goal on his plant foot slipping on the wet field.
Browns LB Andra Davis thinks the fans should keeping believing in the Browns.
Said Browns QB Derek Anderson of the fans’ reaction when he was lying on the ground, “They were cheering the fact that I was hurt. They don’t like me. That’s well known.”
It may have been Anderson’s last game in Cleveland.

This is sickening. The same thing happened in Baltimore in 2005 when Kyle Boller was injured in the opening game against Indianapolis. People who cheer when a player is injured are worse than idiots.

“I’ve done my MCL once before in the bowl when we waxed Notre Dame,” Anderson said. “Let that be known that I beat him (Quinn).”
Before Anderson left the locker room, a reporter said, “see you later.” “Yeah, maybe in another life,” was the reply.
Anderson said, “Of course I’m trying to hold on to it. I’m not trying to drop balls and trying to lose games for us. I know you guys think that sometimes.”
Yikes. Nice knowing ya, Derek.

I hope Andersen goes to a team with classy fans that don’t cheer when the starting QB gets hurt. Somewhere like the Jets…

I don’t get why Clevelanders would cheer for Anderson’s injury. Does he drop passes for Braylon Edwards? Does he play defense? Did he decide to mortgage the franchise’s future on a couple marginal defensive players? Does Ken Dorsey give the Browns a better chance to win? Anderson has not been the problem in Cleveland, but he’s definitely been the scapegoat. By the way, good luck getting anything in the offseason in return for DA.

Rob have you seen DA play this year? His accuracy has been absolutely terrible this year. Just yesterday he had Stallworth wide open down the sideline and over threw him by ten yards! Yes booing him when he’s injured is inappropriate and others have been let downs too, but don’t act like Derek is completely innocent in this. His performance this year warranted him getting benched.

Maybe DA and Tim Couch can hug each other until their tears dry. What a couple of punks.

As a Browns fan, it makes me sick to think of people cheering for DA to get hurt. I don’t really like the guy but I would never cheer that he is hurt, especially when our only answer now is Ken Dorsey. The whole thing makes me sick. And after this season, I’d be very tempted to jump ship and root for another team, but I would only be kidding myself. I’ll never root for anyone but the Browns, as bad as they may be. But I’ll never toot for anyone wearing their colors to get hurt. What a joke this season has become!

@smashmouth football
I do not blame any Ravens fans at all for booing Kyle Boller. He has consistently been made their quarterback for no known reason despite how terrible he is. Look at last year, he took a team who started 3-2 to one win and several losses, even one against the 2007 Dolphins, then he was benched for a rookie.
This year, a different rookie with an identical team has them at 8-4. Kyle Boller is just that damn terrible.
Now for DA’s case, yes, Browns fans have no reason to hate him. See RobJH’s post.

Colts QB Peyton Manning blamed the missed field goal on the idiot kicker getting liquored up and stumbling on the field.
