Linebacker Junior Seau currently is unsigned and not in a training camp. He recently told XX Sports Radio (via Mike Reiss of the Boston Globe) that the 18-year veteran will only return to the NFL if he returns to the Patriots.
“If there is a situation that comes up, I will definitely look at it, but it has to be something with the Pats,” Seau said. “There is no sense in me going to another locker room when I have my guys in that locker room that are going back and hopefully trying to finish what we started.”
Seau had surgery in the offseason to repair a torn rotator cuff, and he thinks that he needs more time to be able to return.
“Obviously, I have to be healthy enough to get in there and perform at a high level and right now I’m not ready,” Seau said.
Meanwhile, the Pats now have one less linebacker than they had before Thursday night’s preseason opener. Tank Williams, a safety who had been practicing at inside linebacker, injured his knee against the Ravens and was placed on injured reserve. He’ll earn his full $650,000 salary while on injured reserve.

But…. but … the Pats are cheaters. How can he respect them and actually WANT to play for a team like that? How can Seau say this? And turning his back on San Diego no less???

Do you think that cheating can be an addiction?
Jr.Seau recently told XX Sports Radio:
using a camera is like Peeping Tom you whant more, more.? (addiction)
If I retire, I will give free lesson on how to set up and use a camera viewfinder correctly…..????? “hello”!
Understanding how to use the camera will make your
game day project easier and more enjoyable…. down in the first half and kick as# in the 2nd half, sure ,enjoyable and easier!
Oh yes Jr. all the way!
where else can you go?

It certainly would be nice to have Seau back, if only so that all the rookie LBs can benefit from his experience and accrued football wisdom. And then there’s the fact that he still plays better than about 3/4 of the starting LBs in the league.
The loss of Tank Williams for the season really, really sucks. I thought he was capable of replacing Rodney Harrison (when the time comes) and his reps at LB in camp were part of the process of grooming him for that role. And we really don’t have anyone else on the roster currently who fits that hybrid SS/LB model. Durability has been a question with Williams, so the fact that he got hurt on a special teams play (!) in the first pre-season game seems to make his loss worse.
I wonder if we’ll see Gary Guyton practicing some SS now. He seems quick enough.
Also, if the Broncos decide they don’t need Wesley Woodyard . . .

I can’t imagine that Seau won’t be back. And when he does return, he will be in excellent shape and ready to contribute. I doubt he has skipped any workouts this off-season. Now as far as skipping is concerned, it is painfully obvious that coco skipped a fair amount of his ESL classes. Coco, try Adult ed-they can help. If you truly did serve in Iraq, I assume you mean as a member of the armed services and while I am skeptical that you scored high enough on the ASVAB to get into the military, if you did I thank you for your service.

You really need to get over the tuck rule call. Being a Raider fan you have enough things to worry about.Having an owner suffering with dymensia making dumb decision after another I get why you are so bitter.the fumble asterick thing amkes you look stupid. We are U.S. Marines in NAS (Naval Air Station Jacksonville) located in Jacksonville, Florida, home of the L.A. Jags ? We have manny coco’s here like coco Ginats, coco Phins, coco Bills , coco patssy etc. and we all like to pick on you guys ( Pats fan ) Because you think that your SHI# DON’T STINK ! SO WE DO !
Let me give you a little bid of coco or stupid coco.
The U.S. Marine Corps relies on the U.S. Navy for sealift to provide its rapid deployment capabilities, so we train here. We are at war so we never stop training. The marines is a big family and we are all for one and ane for all.
The ASVAB is a big joke but without doubt, Marine boot camp is more challenging, both physically and mentally than the basic training programs of any of the other military services. Not only are the physical requirements much higher, but recruits are required to learn and memorize a startling amount of information. There are more than 70 “training days” in a period a little longer than 12 weeks (but don’t let that fool you. There is lots of “training” going on on the “non-training days,” such as the time in Reception, the time spent in “forming,” and on Sundays and Holidays. It has been said time and time again by former Marines that Marine Corps recruit training was the most difficult thing they ever had to do in their entire lives. The more you can prepare in advance, the better off you will be ! A small part of our trainning is running three miles and long marches (up to 10 miles). Sit ups and pull ups are also important. If you are unable to perform basic exercises, you may spend a significant amount of time in PCP (the Physical Conditioning Platoon). PCP is tough: PCP’s objective is physical fitness, and that’s what you’ll be conentrating in while in the program. Individual remain in PCP until they can While it is normally a 21 day program, once you’re in, you don’t get out until you can do 3 pull ups, 40 sit ups in 2 minutes, and run 3 miles in 28:00
We get a few hours studying basic drill and ceremony, U.S. Marine Corps Rank, 11 General Orders for a Sentry, Marine Rifle Creed, Marine’s Hymn, USMC Core Values, study Marine Corps history, and commit the characteristics of the M16A4 Rifle to memory. Round all of this out by memorizing the Code of Conduct.
I like to see some of you guys with the big IQ in here for JUST 21 days ?
NEXT TIME YOU SEE A MEMBER OF THE U.S. MARINE or Armed Forces shake his hand and say Thank You!
“Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference. Marines don’t have that problem and I know I have !”
“What about you?”
OOH RAH.

GIANTS,
but, I am not the only one posting in this site here, I “do” bash Mangini and i call him a R.A.T, not the Jets only Mangini the RAT.
All this guys that post under coco they are like my brothers, they just like to pick on the Pats because they are the only ones that get very piss, so they just want to start something.
Now, you said about my view of cheating in the NFL is a joke ?
There’s cheating in the NFL!
Wouldn’t it be more newsworthy if there were no cheating in the NFL???
New England, in particular, has developed a bit of a history for this kind of antic. Once every 25 years, the Patriots produce a head coach who decides that he must use all the technology available to him to win a football game. Now let’s go back to one game that I will never forget, 1982 in Foxebore, Dolphins and the Patriots. I had free tickets for that game, my brother was home on pass and he gave me two ticket. Near the end of a scoreless game with the Dolphins during a snowstorm in Foxboro, Patriots coach Ron Meyer ordered a snowplow onto the field. The driver of the plow, who happened to be a convict on work release, used the rotating sweeper on his tractor to clear a path in the snow just before the kicker attempted a 33-yard field goal. The kick was good and the Patriots won the game, 3-0.
Ten minutes after that game I was a Giants fan !
To me THAT IS CHEATING.
I do not hate the Patriots, I just don’t like cheating.
Stealing signs isn’t illegal, let’s not forget. It’s using a video camera to do it that gets the Patriots in trouble, but you have to admit it that it’s a pretty lame form of cheating. It isn’t like putting super glue on your wide receivers gloves or spraying down players jerseys with silicone to keep anyone from getting a hold of them, like Bill Romanowski. Belichek will do anything to win, even bend the rules. Was it the deciding factor in his three Super Bowl wins??? Did it make a significant difference in the game in question, where the Patriots flat out-played the hapless Jets? Probably not. It is against NFL rules, but it’s more embarrassing than it is an illegal advantage.
Now, would i cheat to safe my life? you bet, but to win a game ,
Not at all.
So now you have my answer and you know now why I am a Giants Fan!
I just don’t like cheaters!
